Thanksgiving weekend sports activities
Friday has the big one, at least according to FOX World Cup coverage. That United Stateswho drew against Wales in the first game of their World Cup campaign England (2 p.m. ET). The Three Lions, who are among the favorites to win the entire tournament, sped past Iran in a 6-2 win on Monday.
With another win, England can secure another place in the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup. However, the United States is determined to get back on track with an opponent who is something of a Stars and Stripes rival. The England-USA competition will be broadcast on FOX on Friday at 2 p.m.
FOX also has coverage of one of the biggest games of the college football season on Saturday. Rivalry Weekend always takes place the weekend after Thanksgiving and features some of the best esports moments. The Iron Bowl, the Oregon Civil War and other rivalries are one thing. Michigan and State of Ohio, colloquially called “The Game”, have their most important fight in years. The #3 and #2 teams are each effectively playing for a spot in the College Football Playoffs.
Looking ahead to this weekend’s finals, the NFL playlist kicks off a wonderfully busy sports weekend. Of course there are World Cup matches during this four-day stretch. And if anything, the unpredictability of the tournament so far proves that fans need to watch every game as anything can happen.
