Possible release date of The Walking Dead – Dead City and more

the Walking Dead has finally come to an end after eleven seasons, but fittingly it seems to be the show that never dies.

This zombie apocalypse has already spawned several webisodes and spinoffs, but the universe is always expanding and more is coming!

Maggie Rhee and Negan Smith have a… tumultuous history. We can’t really blame Maggie for hating Negan’s guts considering he killed her husband with a baseball bat and all. Still, the couple (sort of) put their differences aside TWD Finale and they will team up in a new spinoff titled The Walking Dead: Dead City.

So what’s the latest news on the series and when can we watch it? Here’s everything you need to know.

Taking that into account, it probably is dead city will follow the spinoff suit and air on Prime Video, but don’t quote us on that.

We’ll update as soon as we know something more specific.

The series was dubbed the “Maggie and Negan spin-off” before earning the name dead city (and before island of the dead), so it goes without saying that Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be reprising their roles as the feuding duo.

Included in the cast are:

• Gaius Charles as Pearl Armstrong
Željko Ivanek as the Croatian
• Jonathan Higginbotham as Tommaso
• Mahina Napoleon as Ginny
•Trey Santiago-Hudson as Jano
• Karine Ortiz as Amaia

Little is known about her roles, but keep us bookmarked because we’ll be the first to tell you as soon as we know more.

The Walking Dead: Dead City Plot – What is it about?

The six-episode series will take place several years after the events of the Walking Dead Finale and follow Maggie and Negan as they explore a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long cut off from the rest of the mainland.

Not much else is known about the plot, but showrunner Scott M. Gimple teased that “it’s a madhouse, and [Maggie and Negan] enter it and let yourself be carried away in the madhouse. There are many conflicts. There’s a lot of action. There are zip lines, the hikers are crazy.”

Dan McDermott, President of Entertainment and AMC Studios, gave a little more insight in an interview diversityand said: “It will take place on the island of Manhattan, which was left to the strays 12 years ago when they overran Manhattan. The government has decided to blow up all the bridges and tunnels and simply leave the island to the roamers. And it’s now 12 years later.

“There’s a herd of millions of walkers dominating the streets of Manhattan… Maggie and Negan need to travel to the island where there’s a little civilian [faction] who live above the 10th floor of all buildings in Manhattan, and they whiz back and forth above the streets.”

Yes! A teaser trailer just dropped and you can check it out above.

The 20-second clip shows Maggie and Negan navigating their new urban environment and gives fans a sneak peek at some of the new cast members. As expected, it looks like there’s still a lot of action and carnivores to come.
