After a series of delays and errors, Nintendo Switch Sportss‘ free golf update is finally on the way. The spiritual successor to the popular Wii Sports The game hasn’t had an easy year since it released last April. It hasn’t proved as successful with fans since, Nintendo Switch Sports contains just a handful of sports mini-games, ranging from bowling to volleyball, in which players can compete against their friends online or offline.

Since launch, newer updates for Nintendo Switch Sports wreaked havoc on gamers and even got temporarily withdrawn from Nintendo. The main bug prevented players from joining games and actually crashed during loading. This issue likely forced Nintendo to delay the release of other additions to the game. With the latest addition being delayed, fans who played earlier have seemingly moved on.

The free golf update too Nintendo Switch Sports will be added to the game on November 28, according to an announcement by Nintendo on its official Twitter page. If you still feel like immersing yourself in this sports title, you can enjoy teeing off at 21 different holes Wii Sports Series. The Golf update will feature two modes; a survival mode where players must survive to be eliminated, and a more relaxed casual mode for players just to have some informal competition with their friends. Hopefully this rollout will go more smoothly. Nintendo has actually compensated gamers for problems over the last year Nintendo Switch Sports To update.

Fan reaction to the recent news has been mixed. Some players stated that they are not even interested now because they waited so long to play. Others pointed out that it had been well over seven months and that the golf courses included were not new, just reused Wii Sports. Many believe the Golf update should have been included from the start. Unfortunately for current players, they cannot receive any compensation from Nintendo other than in-game rewards. However, Pokemon Fans are apparently compensated. This comes after some Pokemon Players requested refunds for Pokemon scarlet and violet which has significant bugs and performance issues.

As of now, Golf is the only announced free addition to Nintendo Switch Sports, and it is unknown if more sports will be added next year. Since it’s been so long since launch, this would be highly unlikely at this point, as Nintendo is already having its hands full with the aftermath of Pokemon scarlet and violet to be the worst rated Pokemon games at all. Perhaps Nintendo will learn from its past mistakes Nintendo Switch Sports and make sure the golf update runs smoothly and wins back players.
