Naruto movies to watch them chronologically and by release date

Naruto is a shonen anime that was first released in September 1999. The story follows the titular Naruto Uzumaki as he struggles through discrimination and changes the minds of those around him on his quest to become the respected leader of his Konoha village. On this journey, we see Naruto save and change countless lives and gain respect from those around him.

There are currently three great anime series in the Naruto Franchise: Naruto (1999), Naruto Shippuden (2007) and Boruto (2017). Several films have been released in the multiple series of this franchise that develop Naruto’s character and chronicle his journey, which are best viewed in the order next to that Naruto anime shows. The second film in the Naruto series follows Naruto, Sakura and Shikamaru as they engage in a battle over the Stone of Gelel. This stone is a powerful mineral with mysterious powers that can bestow incredible power on the user. They realize that they must not use this stone for bad intentions or let it fall into the wrong hands.

Guardian of the Kingdom of the Crescent

Guardian of the Crescent Kingdom

This film features Naruto, Sakura, Rock Lee and Kakashi Sensei being assigned a B rank mission. You must protect the prince of the land of the moon. Unfortunately, the prince is spoiled and his actions constantly annoy Naruto, who through this film seeks to change the prince’s materialistic view of the world to one of respect for other people.
