Australia got off to a surprising start, scoring in the first 10 minutes of the game and continuing to attack. But France turned the tables and went 2-1 up at half-time before scoring two more goals in the second half.
Earlier, Argentina was stunned Saudi Arabia while Denmark and Tunisia played to a goalless draw. Mexico and Poland also fought a goalless draw.
