The show will star idol actress Kim Seolhyun as Yeo-reum and idol actor Im Siwan as the male lead Dae-beom. In the show, Im Siwan will take on the lead role following his popular suspense drama performances like Tracer as well as the popular 2020 romantic drama Run On. The first two episodes of Summer Strike featured the contrasting lives of Yo-reum, who struggles with the death of her mother, and Dae-beom, who leads his quiet life in the small town. With a chaotic Yo-reum moving into his neighborhood, Dae-beom must deal with the fact that he will encounter her often. In the upcoming episodes, Yo-reum must try to make the town her own before the villagers kick her out. On the other hand, Dae-beom very often finds himself around Yo-reum and her antics.
